Blood of the New Testament (Matthew 26:26-28)
After being told that one of them would betray their teacher the disciples sat down to eat supper.
If what Jesus had said to them beforehand shocked them, what came next would bake their noodles.
Jesus took bread, blessed it, braked it, and gave it to the disciples.
This he would call his body.
Jesus then took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to the disciples, telling them to drink from it.
This he would call his blood of the New Testament that would be shed for many for the remission of sins.
To the blind, dumb, and ignorant this may seem like a silly custom.
Those of us who are of the body of Christ call it communion.
